The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has released the SSC 2026 short syllabus English 1st Paper PDF download question types and distribution of marks for the 2026 SSC examination, restoring the division of classes into ninth and tenth. The syllabus for a total of 32 subjects in the science, business education and humanities departments was published on the board’s website on Saturday.
In the 2026 SSC exam distribution, there will be 70 marks in the writing part for non-practical subjects and 30 marks in the multiple-choice (MCQ) section. In subjects including practical subjects, there will be 75 marks in the theoretical section and 25 marks in the practical section. There will be 40 marks in the theoretical section and 25 marks in the multiple-choice (MCQ) section.

Be noted: In 2025, students who have passed the 10th grade and are taking the SSC and equivalent examinations (examinations in 2026), will be provided with the revised and revised textbooks prepared according to the previous National Curriculum-2012 (books used in the 2023 academic year), while continuing the science, humanities and business education branches.
A short syllabus of these textbooks based on science, humanities and business education will be prepared according to the National Curriculum-2012, so that students can complete the syllabus within one academic year. The teaching and evaluation system will be conducted according to the National Curriculum-2012.
